2012 US NATIONAL SKYDIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

For the seventh consecutive year, Skydive Rick’s (Rick Kuhns, Jimmy Drummond, Cheryl, and Drew Riffle) took first place in Team Accuracy at the US National Skydiving Championships!

Cheryl placed 1st in Women’s Individual Accuracy (also scoring less than the male competitors) and 2nd in Women’s Style. For the twenty-sixth time, Cheryl earned the ranking of U.S. Overall Women’s National Parachuting Champion.

Also from Cheryl’s team, Drew Riffle placed third in Men’s Individual Accuracy and Jimmy Drummond won bronze medals in both Men’s Style and Men’s Overall Champion.

Skydive Rick’s accuracy team (James Hayhurst, Cheryl Stearns, Rick Kuhns, Jimmy Drummond) struck gold, as did Cheryl at the 2012 US Parachuting Nationals held at Skydive Arizona from October 27-29th.

Everyone had a great time and learned a lot at the 2011 Cheryl Stearns Accuracy Camp and Meet, held at the Parachute Center from April 15-30. Sixteen teams competed in the meet. See photos and read more about it after the break.

2011 Dubai Intl. Parachuting Championships & Gulf Cup

January 7-19 2011 - Cheryl competed at the Dubai international Parachuting Championships.

The US couldn’t field a full women’s team. Therefore, Cheryl took the opportunity to jump with a mixed international team. Abraham (Bram) Lasschuljt of the Netherlands, Angelika and Valentin Huhs from Austria, and Italian, Claudio Borin, with Cheryl, formed the team “Interconnection”.

Interconnection placed fourteenth out of thirty-three teams in the Men/Mixed Male & Female category. Cheryl tied for sixth place in the Women’s Individual category. Full results may be found here.
